Happy New Year and a Homeschool Checklist

Don't you just love the beauty of the earth?

I hope you all had a wonderful New Years Day! I know I enjoyed getting together with family.   I wasn't looking forward to getting back into the swing of a learning schedule.  I love having time to just relax and work on my projects.  I also love to have my kids on a schedule, we get way more done that way and I don't hear over and over that they are bored and don't know what to do.

Getting back on schedule with a new year, I always like to evaluate our curriculum and schedule.  Now is the perfect time to change anything that is not working or to do more of what is working.   To help keep my kids on track, I use one of two different planners and checklists.  My kids prefer to use a checklist to keep track of what they need to accomplish.  I prefer planner pages that require them to write a few sentences of what they have learned for the day.  I like having a record to look back on.  I am going to share both of those with you.  You can edit them and do what works for you and your little learners.
