Visit Brazil with Little Passports

My kids have anxiously waited for the second Little Passports delivery.  The suspense has almost been to much for them to endure...they were so excited to see where Sam and Sophia would be traveling next.   I'm sure all 4 of my kiddos made a trip to the post box at least twice a day looking for a package from Little Passports.  Finally it came! And this months travels were to Brazil, the largest country in South America.

The souvenir this month was a piece of amethyst that Sam and Sophia found while exploring an amethyst mine.  Amethyst forms in hollow agates called geodes and can be found in the Brazil state of  Minas Gerai. Information on amethyst

Brazil is home to 30 percent of the world's rain forests. The Amazon rain forest is the largest tropical rain forest in the world, covering over 1.4 billion acres.  It is home to 20% of the worlds bird species.

Also included in this months package was a boarding pass to Brazil. Each month a new boarding pass comes that includes a code for online adventures.  We logged onto the Little Passports site and explored an interactive map. Clicking on the represented states we were able to learn about some of the amazing places in Brazil.  My kids had fun reading about  different sights in Brazil. Included in the package was a booklet with a Brazilian recipe and an activity page.  It is so fun for my kids to have something to look forward to every month.  We are really loving Little Passports.  My only complaint is that I wish there was more information on Brazil included.  To dig a little deeper I do have to do a little bit of planning and research.

If you are thinking about signing up for Little Passports,  now is a great time to do it at a discounted price.
