China: Writing and the Qin (230-212bce)
In ancient China, calligraphy was done with a paintbrush made out of animal hairs. Each character took a long time to write. The Chinese wanted to find a quicker way to write, so they craved characters into blocks of wood then dip it in ink and transfer to the image to paper. The Chinese were the first ancient people to use printing.China was made up of several different kingdoms, each one having their own ruler or warlord. There were at least 6 different warlords during this period known as "The Period of Waring States," because China wasn't one country, it was several all fighting with one another.
