Confucius- China's Wise Teacher (551-479bce)
Confucius lived in ancient China during the Zhou Dynasty. He was a philosopher, educator and political thinker. Confucius taught a moral code of honesty, respect, education, kindness and strong family connections.
Confucius believed that strong families were the key to a stable economy and society. He taught of respect to not only living family, but to ancestors as well. How different our society would be today if they lived by Confucius' teachings of building strong family relationships and showing respect to our elders and to our fellow citizens.
