Happy New Year! I hope that you all enjoyed a Merry Christmas and that you are looking forward to great things for the year 2016. Starting a new year is a time to reflect back on the past year, what did you accomplish that was great? What did you not accomplish that was on your list of things to do? And what are your resolutions this year?
As I have reflected back on 2015 I have taken note of things I felt like I accomplished for the year, like making it through another homeschool year without feeling like I need to put my kids back in public school! That is a big accomplishment. I am finally getting the hang of this homeschooling and learning to not get irritated when my day doesn't go how I planned. I'm learning to trust my children and their abilities to accomplish great things. I feel like I failed in other areas, but the great thing about a new year is I have a whole year to start over. I can learn from past mistakes and move on.
My resolutions this year include plans to focus more on my learning so that my children will see that learning is a life long process. Better food choices and exercise seem to be the popular New Year resolutions so I'll add that to my list as well. January is the perfect time to refocus on taking care of my health.
Below is a list of ideas to help your children set resolutions for their education.
